With the turbine housings for the Garrett turbochargers, you can put together the turbo yourself according to your calculations. This is useful if you want to adapt the turbo for a different displacement with different A/R values, for example. Housings with other flanges can also be installed. The turbine housing can be easily removed by loosening the V-band clamp.
Determine the A/R value correctly:
The A/R value determines the exhaust gas throughput of the turbine housing and is therefore largely responsible for the performance of the turbocharger and engine. Basically, the lower the A/R value, the earlier the turbocharger responds, but on the other hand, the exhaust gas back pressure increases and the maximum output decreases.
